Ho,

No, still 4.7G with the recorder. Haven't seen any cheap DVD recorder
does that.
Can DVD9 be played on normal (cheap) player ?

Are you able to copy DVD9 (8.7GB) to multiple DVD5 (4.x G)?  Or you
still have to pull some tricks?
