The British quickly followed and admited that their pre-war intelligence was
a total hoax.  I could not help to compare with the "Tonkin gulf
resolution", passed by Congress for the American to escalate involvement in
VN.  If you are ever curious about the truth about this resolution, it's so
easy to find out.
